With an initial investment of $100,000, the 1st place team from Cape Henry Collegiate School ended the Fall Session of Virginia's Stock Market Game with a final investment portfolio of $137,107. Considering the ups and downs of today's market, this is an impressive amount for the 10 week session.
The 2nd place team from Deep Creek High School ended with $120,262. The 3rd place team, also from Cape Henry, built a portfolio of $119,333.
Team members and their teachers will be recognized at the Annual Awards luncheon to be held at The Federal Reserve Bank of Richmond on May 11th.
The Spring Session of the Stock Market Game begins February 6th.
With a generous grant from Scott & Stringfellow, Inc., a BB&T corporate affiliate, team fees were reduced to $10 per team for the Fall and Spring Sessions. Many thanks!
