This program, co-sponsored by the Federal Reserve Bank of Richmond, gives students in grades K-8 the opportunity to demonstrate their knowledge of economic concepts in a creative and fun way!

Economics Challenge

The Economics Challenge provides middle and high school students with an opportunity to demonstrate their economic knowledge and compete online with students from other Virginia schools.  Winning student teams in three divisions in Virginia are recognized and the top scoring  Virginia high school team in the Adam Smith division earns the opportunity to compete in the national semi-finals and progress to the final national competition in New York City.

The Mini-Society® and Mini Economy are experience-based instructional programs used to teach the concepts of entrepreneurship, economics, and government in a classroom setting. Conducted as a unit of study this high energy simulation focuses on economic education, financial literacy, classroom management, and “real-world” market situations.

Stock Market Game™ Program

 

  Give students the chance to learn more about real life finances in a fun forum.  The Stock Market Game is an online education program used to help teach math, social studies, business, economics and language skills while focusing on the importance of long-term savings and investment.  Students in grades 4-12 participate in teams and manage a simulated investment portfolio.
