The Stock Market Game™ is an online education program used to help teach math, social studies, business, economics, and language skills while focusing on the importance of long-term saving and investment. Students in grades 4-12 participate in teams and manage a simulated investment portfolio. Each semester program includes a 10-week competition that allows student teams to compare the performance of their portfolios with other teams in Virginia and their region. The Spring Semester is a 15-week program and allows students to continue to manage their portfolios beyond the 10-week competition period.
This year-long Stock Market Game™ program has all the learning opportunities spread over a longer period of time. Students in grades 4-12 participate in teams and manage a simulated investment portfolio during the school year. Fee: $25 per team (up to 4 students per team)
Students and teachers that are already participating in the Stock Market Game™ program should also consider this innovative national writing competition. A separate essay topic for elementary, middle, and high school students will stir critical thinking and help reinforce concepts learned in the classroom.
This scholarship program provides an opportunity for Stock Market Game™ program teachers to participate in a five-day summer workshop at the New York Stock Exchange.
