The Stock Market Game™ is an online education program used to help teach math, social studies, business, economics, and language skills while focusing on the importance of long-term saving and investment. Students in grades 4-12 participate in teams and manage a simulated investment portfolio. Each semester program includes a 10-week competition that allows student teams to compare the performance of their portfolios with other teams in Virginia and their region. The Spring Semester is a 15-week program and allows students to continue to manage their portfolios beyond the 10-week competition period.
Fee: $10 per team (up to 4 students per team): $25 for a single team
This year-long Stock Market Game™ program has all the learning opportunities spread over a longer period of time. Students in grades 4-12 participate in teams and manage a simulated investment portfolio during the school year. Fee: $18 per team (up to 4 students per team); $25 for a single team
Reduced team fees for 2012-13 are made possible due to the generous financial support provided by BB&T/
Scott & Stringfellow.
Students and teachers that are already participating in the Stock Market Game™ program should also consider this innovative national writing competition. A separate essay topic for elementary, middle, and high school students will stir critical thinking and help reinforce concepts learned in the classroom.
