A $1,500 scholarship for a five-day summer program at the New York Stock Exchange designed to:
- Provide educators with a thorough understanding of the capital-raising process and the New York Stock Exchange trading platforms.
- Increase teacher ability to include the stock market across curriculum disciplines.
- Provide supporting materials and skills for classroom instructions.
Teachers also have an on-site visit to the trading floor, where they interface with market professionals.
The Workshop is held each summer at the NYSE from 8:30am-4:30pm. (Program dates become available in April.) Typically, the program is held at multiple times: during the last week in June, three weeks in July, and one in early August.
Details on the Workshop are available here.
The NYSE provides the workshop materials, a daily continental breakfast and a luncheon buffet.
The teacher is responsible for the $150 registration fee, transportation, hotel and dinner expenses and may use the scholarship for these purposes. Discounted hotel rates are provided to participants.
