Fall Session 2008 dates: September 29 to December 5
Fee: $15 per team (up to 4 students on a team)


SMG Competition:
Teams are placed in Regions based on the geographic location
of the VCEE Centers. Elementary, middle and high school teams compete in the same Region.
There are 2 rankings each week: Region and Coordinator (top 100 teams in the state).
Rankings are based on the value of the portfolio.

Spring Region option: Take Stock in Virginia Region
Tteams ttrade only Virginia Companies that are on a provided list.
To be placed in this region, register for the SMG program
at www.stockmarketgame.org. In the Notes section of the online registration form,
type: “Take Stock in Virginia.”

Region: prizes are determined and awarded by the VCEE Centers

an innovative national writing competition, produced by the Stock Market Game™ Program that adds a critical thinking component to help reinforce concepts learned in the classroom. There are 3 divisions: Elementary, Middle and High School; essays are different for each division.

National: top 10 essays in each division are recognized nationally. GREAT PRIZES!

State: First place essay in Virginia (for each division) wins $100 for the student and $50 for the teacher. Both are invited to the annual SMG luncheon in May
