Economics Challenge National Championships

Adam Smith Division

The top scoring team in the Adam Smith division will advance to the National Semi-finals. The National Semi-finals will be conducted on April 26, 2010 through a pencil/paper test appropriately proctored at the winning team's school. Details will be provided in advance.

The six top scoring teams in the Semi-finals will be invited to the National Competition to be held May 23-24, 2010 in New York City. Most travel expenses for the National Competition will be paid by the Council for Economics Education. Prizes will be awarded to all semi-final and finalist teams.

David Ricardo Division

In order to provide students in the David Ricardo division an opportunity to compete against other students nationally, Virginia has joined with several other states to compete against other states nationally.

Virginia's top scoring team in this division will compete in an online competition that takes place April 26, 2010. The top three teams in this national competition will win prize money and "bragging" rights. Find our more at the Washington DC portal at www.econchallenge.org.
